Numerous people from the US. It’s not a matter of stupidity, but of education.
I always find it frustrating when people say “Washington is doing x” in reference to Washington DC (US capital) and not in reference to Washington (the state). I personally know people who were confused by this and didn’t know that Washington state existed.
If possible, please say the full name of Washington DC, or even just DC.
Protests show the people who are afraid that they’re not alone. Protests show the people in power that there is a real threat. They may be peaceful now, but if things continue they may no longer have peaceful protests.
