What about perpetrator blaming?

I wonder if this ties to media and social media literacy as well, though poor education on its own could explain that.
It’s often interesting to me that in both media and social media, the more informative they are the more atomized they are. Lemmy > reddit > facebook/x, dropsite > jacobin/guardian > msnbc/bbc
There’s no better man than Fettermanas an example of brain damage
It’s still just as funny as the flat Earthers that keep accidentally proving that the Earth is round
Which is itself extra funny because I believe they both knew this and measured its circumference in ancient Egypt using two faraway towers, if I’m remembering that episode of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos correctly.

Russia, unlike the USA, actually produces an educated populace. You can argue about the quality of that education, or inherent biases built into the system (while we pretend the US doesn’t have any), but Russia has a much higher percent of its population with postsecondary degrees.
I just don’t like the organizational structure of its maintainers as much as I like Debian’s, but that’s just a personal quirk. There’s no wrong answer because the right answer is subjective.

It would be terrible if their ideological masters let them think for themselves!

Any recommendations on a good general use IDE? I’ve enjoyed Geany a bit here and there myself but honestly I’m just using vim for most things these days. CLI is just so quick and efficient for most use cases, but I still hold out hope for something different.

There are plenty of problems with Proton, but since they have a VPN service it means they probably have an exit node in Israhell. I’m pretty sure any VPN that masks traffic as coming from Israhell will do the same. I’m not saying that it’s not worth looking for one that doesn’t do business in Israhell, it just might be hard to find. If you ever need to exit through that node, just make sure your encryption is maxed, with quantum encryption preferably, and avoid doing anything sensitive over that node.
Rich boomers really going extra trying to eliminate the competition, especially with the shortage of 13 year olds and subsequent generations being more protective parents.
