Remember while blowing up a gas pipe is fun, try to minimize the harm to your common folk. Sabotage causing people to freeze to death won’t get you any sympathy, but it’s proven taking down an asshole CEO will be mostly positive publicity.

Ideal act of “terrorism”, or “freedom fighting” will win over the hearts of the people, not stop them from pumping blood.

There’s a reason the Robin Hood myth has lived for almost a thousand years. If you could figure out how to, say, make the billing software “skip” a month that would be very appreciated

I think Robin hood “myth” is not a myth after all. Everyday acts can be very much in the spirit of that hero of the stories.

Say, you waste a little bit of time of that conductor in a train to let the ticketless person leave the train, or seed that entertaining piece of media, is very much that. So is contributing to open source project that competes directly with corporate shitware, or shitposting in lemmy rather than in Instagram.

True, humans have an annoying and often misguided and manipulated instinct for justice, especially when it subverts authority.

But I was talking more about the actual historical origins of that specific character. Though imagining as a collective personification of that vibe, with similar parallels in other modern mythologies, could make an excellent thesis paper.

I think I have a rabbit hole to fall into on this one, never cared to look there.

Blow up an AI data center and everyone’s electricity bill goes down and people living nearby can enjoy some silence. It might burst the bubble, that’s inevitably coming anyways…

If only I knew how, I would do nothing but “goof around” in this way.
