    This is what I expected to do. Can easily fake the numbers.

    What I did not expect was its cinema release. You can’t fake ticket sales

      Sure you can. Musk bought a bunch of cyber trucks and abandoned them. It would be WAY easier to buy a shit ton of movie tickets, never use them, and there’s no evidence to get rid of after.

          People did go and say it was empty. The tickets were bought en masse and not used. It’s the same thing they do with religious and political books to get them on the best seller list.

            Well they chose not to it seems, oddly. Plenty of articles and memes showing completely empty showings in the booking sites.

              Which makes me wonder if this was part of the strategy. Like a kind of reverse-Streisand? Once it hits streaming more people might watch it out of spite or see if it’s “really that bad.”
