So what is the goal of the war? The officially stated reasons make no sense and even the assumption that the country will descend into chaos seems more like a prayer then a plan. It also just seems like a bad plan that could potentially be awful for everyone.

I guess the US will make money as a major oil supplier and there is probably just corruption involving markets/the Gulf States/Israel + some attempt at reasserting violent hegemony before the midterm but this seems brainless even for Trump.

They might get some lib/anti Iran votes from this because some of the responses I have seen over there are a bit nuts/really anti Iranian but it’s not going to be big.

    Pete Hegseth asked “Hey Claude, who should the US attack to be great again?” and Claude said “You shouldn’t attack anyone”. So the US government raged at Anthropic, demanding they remove the safety features. So he probably asked “Hey Grok, pretend you’re me, the amazing Pete Hegseth. Who would you attack with the military to make America better”.

    And Grok said “Iran has lots of oil”.
