  • I joined about two years ago, and to get the most content I have kept browsing All, however that is annoying when some new guy decide to set up a new NSFW community outside of the NSFW branded instances and I have to block them individually.

When lemmynsfw existed most people went there to post, but some either didn’t like the instance or didn’t know about it and posted on generic instances.

I don’t want to turn on NSFW filtering in general, as it is used in memes and jokes, but I don’t want porn on my main account, that is what my alt is used for.

  • The coolest bathroom experience I have ever had was when I attended my sister’s graduation ceremony from university.

There was a white tie dinner party after the ceremony, and every one was dressed up, it was a super happy and friendly atmosphere, full of beautiful men and women.

Anyway, I had to go to the toilet, so I found the men’s room and opened the door…

    …and immediately got confused…

…the first thing I saw was a beautiful woman in a crowd of other beautiful men and women!

    The party kept going!

And the most remarkable thing was that the wall between the women’s and men’s rooms wasn’t there.

Instead there was a really cool central sink and booths on either side.

    It was brilliant!

  • I remember it well.

The first signs was when I was sitting in a taxi to the airport for a work trip abroad to London.

I remember being annoyed at having a cold for the duration of the trip.

If it had just been a cold, it would have been fine.

It got so bad that at the end of me week there, I couldn’t speak.

As I got sicker, I also got a scare that I might have flooded the hotel, which made me worry that I might loose my job.

Anyway, I just got sicker and sicker, I went to the doctors when I got back, and was diagnosed with one sides pneumonia, with an unknown cause.

I got generic penicillin, which I couldn’t swallow properly, so I had to dissolve the pill in water and slowly sip it, took an hour or so to get one pill in me.

It got worse to the point I went to the Emergency room in the hospital, and was admitted to the infection clinic, I had to stay for two days.

I got an IV with penicillin and finally started getting better.

My mom got sick at the same time with similar symptoms…

I never conclusively found out what I got, but my mom was diagnosed with Mycoplasma, so I probably got it myself.

I was away from work for a month and a half, and missed almost all of the summer of 2019…

    It was terrible.

For anyone curious, I would suggest against trying mycoplasma, it is not a brilliant experience.

I have said it before, and I’ll say it again.

An adblocker is part on my security suite on my computer.

Ads can be hijacked to spread malware, and unless the site owner agrees to take both financial and legal liability for the possible dammage caused by their website I will never consider removing my adblocker.

If they agreed to take on the responsibility, I still wouldn’t remove my adblocker, but I would consider it.

  • Yeah, I made my comment as I am tired of fanboyism, I have daily driven Linux in the past, I was the Linux sysadmin at a major financial institution for years, Linux is awesome!

But please don’t get arrogant and claim it is faultless, with constructive criticism it can only get better.

Right now I am running Windows as my daily, and my work is only in Windows.

I dailied Linux back in the 2.8 days, I remember a class mate having to manually edit the kernel source code to get his USB mobile broadband modem to work, I had modems from another brand, so I only had to run USB mode switcher to get mine working.

I set up Fluxbox from scratch to get a fantastic UI experience on my laptop.

    I know Linux.

I switched back to Windows for gaming, and now with W11 and gaming support for Linux, I am looking to move back to Linux.

I am no Windows nor Linux fanboy.
