Yeah…no shit. We were promised PSLF and a fair income-driven repayment plan under Biden’s SAVE plan. In my situation that would have been $0 monthly payments for me and my wife over the course of our 10 years in public service as healthcare professionals. Essentially making our secondary education free for the exchange of being a net benefit to our community’s health and well-being.
Instead, since the SAVE plan was put in forbearance and is now looking like it’s going to be dismantled, we’ll have lost about a year’s worth of PSLF eligible payments, our monthly payments are going from $0 to about $500/mo, and as of now there’s no buyback on the lost term. Mohela knew what it was getting into by servicing all PSLF borrower’s loans. They consolidate the loans and in turn the federal government guarantees payment in full for a majority of those borrowers. Thus, Mohela doesn’t have to litigate wage garnishment on delinquent accounts. The fucking rug pull here is illegal and I plan to litigate. The SAVE plan allowed me the financial flexibility to purchase a house with a 30 year mortgage and finance a used vehicle to reliably get to work so of course I took that opportunity. It’d be stupid NOT to. There’s a reason all these college-educated people are delinquent. I’m just fortunate that I was VERY careful not to overextend myself back in 2020 knowing another Republican presidential candidate may try to fuck me. I didn’t think it would be Trump again.

That’s already happened. Ronald Reagan was a big fan of SciFi and created a think tank of SciFi authors to advise him on potential threats of the future.

That’s what I call beating my children. Those mines aren’t going to dig themselves.
Nonsense. I can attest you’re a certifiable fuckin’ snakk

I’m also an anglophone, but this seems not quite right to me. There’s no real need to insert a comma in that sentence, as there’s no real need to pause for clarity or pacing.

I’ll build them a replica Statue of Liberty from copper ore to finished product using only hand tools and transport it on foot.

What’s with the weird comma placement in the, title?
I know its not you, OP

No. You have to be pretty deliberate about it. Honestly, its pretty impressive how well tuned it is.
The heat press or glue or whatever is too strong and keeps me from opening the bag cleanly. Top tier cereal bags essentially peel open and leave a clean hole at the top of the bag to pour from.

Motorola phones have a feature that allows you to “chop” with your phone twice to turn on/off the flashlight. It sounds super mundane, but it is way more convenient than you can imagine. Especially for me as an athletic trainer when I’m testing pupil response during a concussion evaluation. They also allow you to twist your phone twice to open the camera, but I don’t find that as convenient since double tapping the lock button also works.

Sounds like your childhood friend had a lot in common with Barron, Bono, and Mr. Hankey. /s

It takes a special turd to not draw interest from basketball programs at 6’9" in the US. There’s some teams that recruit on height alone and worry about teaching skills later. The fact that he wasn’t even sniffed at by a college coach somewhere is pretty telling.

I’m on a second generation of Motorola phones. I gave them a shot with the 2020 g power and upgraded to the 2023 edge+. The g power was fine for about 2 years but then I really began to feel the brunt of having such a underperforming chipset. I’d definitely suggest getting something that’s more in the midrange price bracket given my experience. My advice so take it or leave it.

Good. Now if only they could make the Edge+ with the same relative spec sheet and ditch the curved glass in 2027. I’d buy it in a heartbeat for Graphene. My next phone WAS going to be a Pixel for the broader case/screen protector support, but that would make me reconsider cause I would really miss the chop chop flashlight.

I currently own the 2023 Motorola edge+ and love it. Its got flagship features at like half the price. I bought it for like $700 2-3 years ago.
The ONLY real drawback that I’ve had over 2 years is that the front glass is curved and breaks too easily for being Gorilla Glass. The curved design also means that case options are super limited so its a double whammy.

You’re not wrong, but we don’t have the luxury of only making decisions based on rationality. Sometimes you need to trust your intuition and fix the repercussions of those decisions with more rationally sound decisions when/if they backfire.
Personally, I’d rather have dealt with the blowback of Donald Trump’s corpse rotting in a shallow grave than having to deal with where we’re at currently.
It is possible to appreciate the architecture and not act as righteous as the Catholic church
